You really can't go wrong here, every single sandwich is so delicious! Even the salads are fabulous! The staff is also very willing to help make your sandwich even better with tips that are out of this world (like adding mayo to a meatball sub, it's fantastic! Try it)

I don't get this place. The meats they put in their subs are not high quality, the sub choices are boring, and the actual finished product tastes no better than subway! I guess if you are hungry, come here, otherwise jersey mikes or jimmy johns are much higher quality and taste better.

Great customer service and it's consistent. The staff is friendly and the food is great. I've tried several of their sandwiches and they are all great. The tuna salad sandwich and the Mediterranean are my favorite. If you have a sweet tooth, the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is amazing! The sugar cookies are moist and good too

I can't get enough of this place! They have good soup, salad, and milkshakes, but the sandwiches are what it is all about. They have a couple of different sizes depending on how hungry you are. There's your standard ham/turkey/roast beef, but then they also have some combinations like the Wreck and Italian that I prefer. you can order off the menu or, if you're lucky, there's some surfer looking kid that works on the weekends who will make recommendations of secret sandwiches or custom make you anything that you want. Get the Lucky 7 or Chicken Parmesan!

Went there for the first time, had the mushroom sandwich (by recommendation of cashier girl) and it was really yummy! I also had some soup that was good too!!!! The staff was very friendly! It also wasn't very pricey!

Having eaten at the original location in Lincoln Park during my DePaul days in the 80's, I was familiar with the food for 20+ years. The sellout, I mean expansion has brought those great sandwhiches closer to home; first in Deerfield and them closer to home here in VH. Over the years the menu has expanded vastly from the old days; when keeping it simple kept the lines moving fast: One size sandwhiich, one bread option, etc. Progress is good and has delievered some great new sandwhiches like the new and improved Pizza and some forgettable like the Meditaranean. The shakes are great, but the tiny overpriced cups of soup are a pass. Overall a great sandwhich place!

Since living in downtown Chicago in the 90s, Potbelly has long been my sentimental favorite among sandwich shops, and they have the distinction of making the ONLY commercially prepared chicken salad I will eat. It's better than my homemade, and that's saying something! This location has been a lifesaver to me many times. I feel like it's a tad bit spendy for a sandwich shop (a standard-sized sandwich, bowl of soup, chips and fountain drink cost me upwards of $10, which is a bit much for a place where you order at the counter), but the quality is totally there, so I'm accepting of it. Their soups are fantastic, and the chain as a whole carries Zapp's chips, which are kettle-cooked and tasty. This location has always had friendly people working at the counter while I've been there, and is always clean and well-kept. It's my comfort food of choice when out and about in the area.

I like their potato soup and farmhouse salad. They also make some good sandwiches but I don't see the club available anymore so I usually get the ham.... the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is AWESOME!

Potbelly is one of the better sandwich chains in my opinion. Made to order oven baked sandwiches with quality ingredients (I recommend the giardiniera if you like it spicy) . Sometimes a bit skimpy on the veggies so I often ask for extra. This location is not the best I have experienced. The staff is not as friendly or well managed as other locations. But if Vernon Hills it's one of your best options for a sandwich (of the chains).

I came here because Corner Bakery is always out of food. Come here instead. They always have food in stock and it's delicious. It's always consistent. I love the thins, too. Oh, awesome sugar cookies.

I LOVE POTBELLY. Best sandwiches, milkshakes and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies on this planet. When I was pregnant with my son, I came here quite a bit to get my fix! Such great food, and so well priced. Love it!

The Wreck on wheat...I will never order anything else. It is so delicious. So many tastes and flavors under one bun. Ashley gets the Farmhouse salad...and that punch bowl of lettuce, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, chicken, tomatoes, etc is one of the best salads I've ever eaten. #1 is the blue cheese wedge at Sullivan's. #2 is this one. #3 is the house salad at Lou Malnati's with the sweet vinaigrette. There was also a kid getting pulled over outside the restaurant and he and the cop were yelling at each other. Free entertainment!

"Big Wreck" when it comes to Potbellys. Definite favorite sandwich/sub place. This was my first time to this location and on an early Saturday afternoon it was pretty poppin, as expected. The lines at these places usually go fast and that's good since there's always a line. Staff here was just as friendly as the other locations i've been to. Big Wreck on wheat. Everything on it. May get a little messy but that's half the fun.

Potbelly has one of the best sandwiches in the area. Their sandwiches are far better than any other sandwich shop in the area in my opinion. I like the selection of sandwiches which they offer in regular, big and slim sizes. The salads, soups and shakes are good as well. The portions are adequately sized and I never go hungry after eating here. The service is quick, the staff is upbeat and friendly and the sandwiches are delicious. What's not to love?

One of my favorite spots for cheap eats in the 'burbs. Use to eat here when I was in college and I would get a Wreck and a Cream Soda for under 10 bucks. The prices have gone up a tad since I was in college, but it's still pretty reasonable. If the weather is warm, be sure to get a malt or shake. I love getting the Chocolate Strawberry Malt (with the little shortbread cookie that comes on the straw!). There's nothing healthy in this shake, but it's soooo worth it. Just promise yourself you'll take a jog later ;) This location is pretty standard and comparable to other Potbelly locations. They messed up our order once but the supervisor apologized and gave us a bag of chocolate chip cookies for our inconvenience. Great for teens, students, families, kids, adults, grandpas and grandmas. To agree with Jennifer L. "What's not to love?"

FARMHOUSE SALAD....you are amazing! This wonderful bowl of iceberg lettuce topped with tomatoes, bacon(not bits, like real bacon), blue cheese crumbles, steaming hot and juicy grilled chicken breast, diced hard boiled egg and cucumbers is perfect with a nice vinaigrette dressing drizzled over the top....my mouth is officially watering. I've had this salad a few times, but each time I swear it's better! My favorite part is the bottom of the bowl, where all the bacon and blue cheese crumbles gather for a little pow wow before they dive into the dance club that's happening in my belly! It makes me happy to eat this salad, it really makes me happy.

3.5 star. I am happy I found another lunch spot. Solid food, fast service and reasonable pricing. The food is fresh. I enjoyed the grilled chicken the most.

I would like to thank Potbelly at Vernon Hills for an amazing evening. The fundraiser evening for Avon - Walk for Breast Cancer was a great success. You were so nice to everyone, the food was the best - as usual. Thank you Patti Bolman for helping make this evening as good as it gets!!!!!.

I take my kids to pot belly's for our day out with dad lunch, my eldest loves the tuna and the other one the turkey, i myself love either the tuna or roast beef with hot peppers. Of course before we leave we get a bad of the mini chocolate chip raisin cookies. GREAT PLACE, GREAT FOOD...

How awesome.. that they are located next to a Game Stop and a Jamba juice. Thank goodness I only stop in on my lunch breaks. Otherwise I'd be killing time downing meatball subs w/ extra hot peppers, Jamba Juicin' and buying games I don't need. Speaking of Meatball subs, they don't add enough marinara. Ask for more, its usually dry. Service is quick and if you were grabbing an office lunch to go you can be out of there in under 15 mins. Its a strip mall location and it's tiny. Weekdays during the normal lunch hour is usually packed. As all Potbelly's they've got the wooden chairs and assorted tables. Problem is when you are a single or double and looking for a seat. Most times you may find a lady sitting alone at a big table not wanting to share the space. They offer outside seating which is a good option in the summer.

Roast beef sandwich was delicious, service was fast...cashier could have smiled a little bit.. But good healthy food after 8 hrs of junk food made up for it.

Yes, I know, it's a chain but I have to express my displeasure. I thought we were going to pick up the kid at camp, stop off at Zimmerman, then hit Dengeo's for a huge salad LOADED with tuna salad or cheese & meat and two tubs of creamy garlic dressing, but no, husband took off in the opposite direction and headed to the culinary wasteland. After driving through multiple strip malls and finding nothing (not nothing...but Green Basil and Peacock and Tsukasa were too pricey) my husband declared "The next place I see is going to be IT, whether you fucking like it or not!" Ok. We end up at Potbelly. Could be worse. Could be IHOP. Potbelly. Where my daughter hates everything. I keep an open mind. I had the Chicken Salad Salad. A scant 1/4 cup of tough, chewy chicken salad schmeared across the greens, 4-6 sliced dried cranberries, not enough dressing (an artificial tasting buttermilk ranch). The greens were fresh and crunchy and the tomatoes ripe, so I'll give them that...just not enough toppings and nasty dressing. My husband had the Wreck salad, still not enough toppings. I also had a cup of Garden Vegetable soup, gently simmered for six weeks until it thickened to a reddish brown sludge. I tasted undertones of burnt coffee and chocolate. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I did eat it though, because I paid up the butt for it. My kid had a bowl of the loaded baked potato soup. She said it was ok but tasted more like clam chowder. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. I liked...no, LOVED the extremely clean, single bathroom. I was still hungry when we left. Please don't take me back here.
